Nike Vomero Plus (Nike Invincible Run Replacement)

Nike has been restructuring its running shoe lineup into three main pillars: Pegasus (responsive cushioning), Vomero (max cushioning), and Structure (stability). Within each pillar, there are three tiers: Icon, Plus, and Premium. The Vomero 18 is the current “Icon” model in the Vomero family, known for its plush, max-cushioned ride with a dual-foam midsole (ZoomX on top and ReactX below) and a 46mm stack height. The “Plus” and “Premium” versions of the Vomero are anticipated later in 2025, with the “Vomero Plus” expected to take the max-cushioning concept even further.
Rumors and leaks suggest the Vomero Plus could be a reimagined or rebranded evolution, possibly tied to what was initially thought to be the “Invincible 4” (a max-cushioned trainer line that Nike appears to have phased out). Early images indicate the Vomero Plus might feature a higher stack and enhanced cushioning, with a speculated launch price around $180. It’s positioned as a step up from the Vomero 18, likely offering a softer, more luxurious feel for runners prioritizing comfort over speed.
The Vomero Plus hasn’t been fully detailed yet. Nike’s pattern suggests it’ll build on the Vomero 18’s foundation—more ZoomX foam, possibly a chunkier midsole, and a refined upper for breathability and support. For now, it’s a shoe to watch for if you’re into high-stack, plush daily trainers.
